Due to district size data may not be as useful as in larger districts. Need to determine how it is best to utilize this data and what needs to supplement it.
How do we provide assistance with areas of concern in regards to data? Do we look at ESU wide data or district by district? (i.e. writing data)
How many students are in special education ESU wide?
When looking at goals what interventions are being used and what percentage of goals are being met?
Cristen and Jeff will look into using ILCD Data off of Districts Performance Report.
May want to consider looking at parent input and comfort level at IEP meetings. Comfort level and input varies between districts in how IEP meetings are conducted.
Workshop is scheduled for October 25th @ 1:00 p.m. in Ainsworth at the Tech Center to discuss how to BLOG and how to add interact with individual department sites. One rep from each department will be designated for this responsibility.

Self Assessment Narrative
We will review the Self Assessment results from the Aug10 2012 Staff Meeting and will begin the process of completing the Self Assessment Diagnostic.
Main concerns seem to center around evaluation.
Each Leadership Team member will go through the Self Assessment results and list what we believe our strengths and needs are in the areas indicated below. These will be discussed at the December 2012 Leadership Team meeting.
1 - Vision and Direction - Nicole/Cristen
2 - Governance and Leadership - Geraldine
3 - Teaching and Assessing for Learning - Patty
4 - Resources and Support Systems - Ben/Becky
5 - Using Results for Continuous Improvement - Nicole/Cristen
We will assign a rating to each Indicator (24) based on the Self Assessment results.
We will identify key pieces of evidence that support our choices.
We will brainstorm answers to the following questions that will be used to construct a narrative for each Standard (5) that answers the following questions:
What were the areas of strength you noted?
What were areas in need of improvement?
What actions are you implementing to sustain the areas of strength?
What plans are you making to improve the areas of need?
Send first 37 questions out this fall, then send out 38-45 approximately two weeks later
Once completed, we will need to review the results (December 4) and complete the following AdvancED Diagnostic: Criteria for Assessing Stakeholder Feedback
Was a minimum response level met on all stakeholder surveys? (Staff Perception Survey, School Stakeholder Survey)
Was the overall average above 3.20 (on a 5.0 scale)?
Areas of Notable Achievement
What areas indicate the highest level of satisfaction or approval? (overall)
What areas show a trend toward increasing stakeholder satisfaction or approval? (overall)
Which of the above reported findings are consistent with findings from other stakeholder feedback sources?
Areas in Need of Improvement
Which areas indicate the overall lowest levels of satisfaction or approval?
Which areas show a trend toward decreasing stakeholder satisfaction or approval?
What are the implications for these stakeholder perceptions?
Which of the above reported findings are consistent with findings from other stakeholder feedback sources?
